This hour long seminar will cover:

  • The basics for preparing a conservatorship accounting.
  • The expectations of the court as determined by the CAAP/CARP audit teams.
  • The Do’s and best practices to speed up preparing an account and making audit easy.
  • The Don’ts and best practices to prevent slowing down your process or making audits worse.

Speaker: Robert McLeod

Robert McLeod is a Partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister, LLP in the Estate Planning Department. Robert has worked exclusively in tax and estate planning his entire professional career. Robert received his J.D. and LL.M (Taxation) from Mitchell-Hamline School of Law where he also consistently taught Estates & Trust courses from 1995-2015 as an Adjunct Professor. Robert is also a CPA (Inactive). Robert was Chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association Probate and Trust Section and served four years as Co-Chair of the Probate & Trust Legislation Committee. Robert is a Fellow in the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Robert has been voted as a recurring Best Lawyers in America and voted five times as a top 100 lawyer in Minnesota. Robert is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and has several published articles. Robert worked extensively with the Minnesota Legislature to enact the current Guardianship and Conservatorship Code in Minnesota as well as on other probate legislation.
