Topic: What's Up In Delaware

No state carries more significance for corporate compliance than Delaware. With that in mind, CT has developed an one-hour CLE that highlights some of the topics that make Delaware so unique. This presentation thru an analysis of both statutes and case law will examine a number of topics including: series LLCs, reverse veil piercing, updates to the important Caremark standards, as well as review upcoming changes in their state laws.

Speaker: Daniel W. Lias, Esq.

Daniel W. Lias is the Transactional Business Consultant in the Chicago office of CT covering the Midwest. He works primarily with area law firms in terms of their due diligence searches and filings. He shares market knowledge with the firms and assists in developing a strategy that meets the firm’s specific needs. He graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Economics and later received his JD. He has several years of experience working with UCC related issues in both his private practice and when he was corporate counsel for an invoice factoring firm. While at CT he has written papers relating to the GM termination case. He also has conducted numerous seminars on due diligence issues to law firms, financial institutions, and corporations.
