Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid’s Naturalization Screening Clinic

Dear MPA Members!

In celebration of Paralegal Week (October 22-28, 2023), the Pro Bono Committee is pleased to invite you to volunteer with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid’s Naturalization Screening Clinic.

The Naturalization Screening Clinic will take place during the ABA’s National Pro Bono Week, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 9:30 am to 2:30pm at the Brooklyn Park Library, 8500 W. Broadway Ave. Brooklyn Park , MN 55445 (Mississippi Room).

For those of you who are new to this project, please watch the recorded volunteer training, found here. Also for your reference, click for a copy of the MMLA Naturalization Screening Volunteer Handbook for your review. A paper copy of this will be available for volunteers at the clinic. 

Please complete the volunteer registration form prior to volunteering at a Naturalization Screening Clinic. The form can be completed online at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid: Volunteer Registration.

While knowledge of a language other than English is not required, if you know anyone who speaks Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Amharic, please encourage them to participate as well!
