Topic: MPA Rochester Chapter December Meeting 

Join us for a presentation by the Directors and Court Advocates for the Women’s Shelter & Support Center which serves all victims of domestic violence in a 10-county area in Southeast MN. The Women's Shelter has been providing services locally for nearly 50 years.

Services include a Crisis Line, Short-term emergency shelter; Support Groups; Transitional Housing, Legal Advocacy.

If you or someone you know is a victim of a domestic abuse-related crime, The Women’s Shelter & Support Center’s legal/court advocates are available to assist you through the civil/criminal court process in our service area. Legal advocates will provide support and information on both the criminal justice system and your rights as a victim of a crime. Our advocates will assist you throughout the court process, attending court appearances with you or on your behalf. All of our advocates are trained to assist with filling out and filing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders.

Speakers: Jeannie Thompson, Jodi Skurdahl, & Katrina Wagner

Jeannie Thompson is Director of Youth Programming & Outreach. Jeannie’s career has spanned over 30 years from Mental Health Nursing and Clinical Psychology to ACES and Trauma-Focused Intervention. Jeannie has been with the Women’s Shelter for 7 1/2 years.

Other Presenters will Include Jodi Skurdahl, Director of Shelter Services and Katrina Wagner, Court Advocate.
