  • Can you work with both a corporate trustee and an individual trustee?
  • How to you choose a corporate trustee?
  • After you decide on a corporate trustee, what is the process?
  • Once a corporate trustee takes over administration, what do they do?
  • What is the law firm’s role when working with a corporate trustee?
  • How do corporate trustees make discretionary distribution decisions?
  • How does a corporate trustee handle disgruntled beneficiaries?
  • How does a corporate trustee handle incapacity, substance abuse, or financial issues with beneficiaries?
  • Why would you still have court involvement in some situations when a corporate trustee is involved?

Speakers: Kiley Henry

Kiley Henry is a senior associate at Dorsey & Whitney LLP where she practices in the Tax, Trusts, and Estates group. Kiley has extensive experience working with corporate trustees as, in addition to representing corporate trustees in her daily practice, she also worked as a senior trust advisor at Northern Trust, one of the largest corporate trustees in the United States. Kiley received her law degree from the University of Minnesota in 2014 and her undergraduate degree from North DakotaState University in 2009. Kiley lives in Blaine with her husband, three children, and golden retriever.
