Topic: Trends in Land Surveying
From solar compasses to drones, we will discuss technology advancements and their impact on the survey industry over the years. While technology has certainly benefited the survey industry, it often creates conflicts or confusion when comparing to historical data that was collected with less precise tools. The discussion will aim to provide an overview of past and present processes that are used to obtain survey data and discuss how these changes sometimes create questions related to legal descriptions and boundary measurements. We hope to have an open and active dialogue with the audience.
