Topic: How to Prepare Clients for Custody Evaluations: 10 Tips Your Client Needs to Know

A custody and parenting time evaluation is a significant event in a marriage dissolution or custody proceeding. In this presentation, an experienced family law attorney will share her tips for preparing clients to effectively present the client's perspective in the evaluation process.


Speaker:  Melissa Chawla

Melissa J. Chawla is a founding partner and attorney at DeWalt, Chawla + Saksena, LLC, with a practice focused on family law as well as juvenile matters involving child protection, adoption and Assisted Reproductive Technology Services. Melissa serves on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and is Chair of the AFCC-MN Public Relations Committee. She is an active volunteer with Volunteer Lawyers Network and a former adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline College of Law, where she taught Family Law.
