Affordable Housing Gap in Rochester

Please join us to discuss the escalating affordability gap in workforce-priced housing in Olmsted County, and solution steps being implanted via The Coalition for Rochester Area Housing.

Our speaker Steve Borchardt is the Director of the Housing Initiative at Rochester Area Foundation. He spent his primary career in public safety with the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office from 1975 to 2008; serving as sheriff from 1991 until his retirement from office in 2008. Since 2008 he has been self-employed consulting in public safety radio
communications and, since 2013, employed by Rochester Area Foundation. Steve
first served Rochester Area Foundation as a general philanthropy Development
Officer.  He gradually became involved with the Foundation’s housing programs and assumed this current position at the beginning of 2016.  Throughout his life Steve has been an active volunteer. He has been a member of several service clubs, has served on the boards of numerous non-profit agencies and has been involved with fund-raising for numerous local charities.

This is an in-person only event.
