Have you thought about taking either the PACE® or PCCE® exam, but thought to yourself, I don’t have the time nor the funds to invest in a certification exam? The MPA has a solution for you and welcomes you to an exciting opportunity to start down the road…to certification.
The Minnesota Paralegal Association would like to help a few motivated members in 2019 by offering a scholarship for both the PACE® exam and PCCE® exam!
The deadline for your application for each exam will be October 1, 2019. Please e-mail your application to the 2019 Certification Ambassadors (Kristy Fisher, RP® and Tina M. Johnson, RP®) at certification@mnparalegals.org, with a copy to the MPA office (info@mnparalegals.org). Prizes will be awarded at the 2019 Fall Gathering on October 28th.
For the PACE® Exam, the scholarship will include: 1) the PACE® Study Manual ($125.00 plus shipping and handling); and 2) the PACE® Application Fee* (submitted with application to the NFPA - $350).
In the event that the applicant already has the PACE® Study Manual, the scholarship will cover the cost of the online practice exam ($50).
To be eligible for the PACE® Scholarship, you must:
1) Be a current Voting Member (including Greater Minnesota Voting Members);
2) Maintain MPA Voting Member status in 2020;
3) Take the examby October 1, 2020; and
4) Meet the education/experience requirements by June 1, 2020.

For the PCCE® Exam, the scholarship will cover the Application Fee ($325)* and the study manual ($75.00 plus shipping and handling).
To be eligible for the PCCE® Scholarship, you must:
1) Be a current MPA Member (All Voting, Greater MN, or Student Members qualify);
2) Maintain MPA Member status in 2020;
3) Take the exam byOctober 1, 2020; and
4) Meet the education/experience requirements by June 1, 2020.

Applications will be reviewed and scored by Certification Ambassadors from other NFPA member associations.
*Please note: the scholarship winner will be reimbursed by MPA for the costs of the exam. MPA will provide half of the reimbursement after proof of payment for the exam and the second half upon proof of taking the exam. (Also note that “passing” the examsis not requiredfor reimbursement.)
