Hello! If this is the first time you are choosing to read PACE-Setters, welcome. If you are already familiar with this section of Citations, welcome back. My guess is that you have at least a tiny interest in the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam, since you are still reading. After all, if you clicked the link by accident and werent a little curious, you probably would have already hit the back button!
Maybe you have started to consider pursuing PACE or you are wondering whether or not PACE will benefit you. Perhaps you have taken the initiative to order the candidate materials, but you are not sure if you are ready to move full speed ahead with the process. Doris S. Wente, RP and I have been invited to speak about PACE in a break-out session at this years MPA Annual Convention on June 14, and we look forward to the opportunity to address any questions or concerns you may have. Our break-out session will provide a brief history of the exam, PACE candidate requirements, preparing for and taking the exam, and some of the benefits of becoming a PACE Registered Paralegal.
The break-out session is a great time to grab a friend (or two) and find out if PACE might be for you. As your co-PACE Ambassadors, Doris and I are available to assist in organizing study groups and to provide encouragement to PACE candidates. Please feel free to contact either one of us at our email addresses listed below or by emailing to pace@mnparalegals.org.

MINNESOTA PARALEGAL ASSOCIATION 1711 W. County Road B #300N ♦ Roseville, MN 55113
The Minnesota Paralegal Association does not endorse or make referrals to any legal service providers. We strongly recommend that persons in need of legal services seek the advice of an attorney. At the present time, Minnesota has no minimum qualifications for persons calling themselves paralegals. The risk to the consumer of using such a person to provide legal services, without attorney oversight, is very high. The Minnesota State Bar Association offers attorney referrals as do both the Hennepinand Ramsey County Bar Associations.
